WEATHERFORD -- Kim Ward, 53, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at her home in Weatherford. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Brazos Trails Cowboy Church, 300 Sharla Smelley Road, Weatherford. Pastor Dave Wills will officiate. Interment: Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Kim Melissa Dayton Ward, precious only child of James Scott and Peggy Cockerham Dayton, was born in Fort Worth on Nov. 20, 1959. She graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1978 and married David Ward on Sept. 20, 1980. Kim's career in health-care services centered around the business offices at All Saints Hospital, Medical Plaza, Park City Surgical Center and Weatherford Regional Hospital. She was a member of Brazos Trails Cowboy Church. Kim was preceded in death by her beloved father, James Scott Dayton, on Sept. 30, 2011.
