Shirley Jean Yandell

MILLSAP -- Shirley Jean Yandell, 76, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Greenwood Community Cemetery Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday at White's Funeral Home. Shirley Jean Light was born on September 26, 1937 to Eugene Davis and Pauline Butler Light in Weatherford. She spent many years working on the family farm doing a little bit of everything. Later, Shirley worked as a logistics employee in the civil service, assisting in relocation of service members and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Edwin "Eddie" Yandell in 2010. Survivors: Son, Michael Yandell and wife, Patricia; daughter, Vickie Sanders and husband, Lee; grandchildren, William, Frances and Matthew Yandell and Cristopher and Ashley Valdez; great-grandson, Carter Yandell; sister, Donice Way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
