Benny Coleman Bridges

Benny Coleman Bridges, 83, beloved father, grandfather, and brother passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in Springtown.Funeral Service: 11 am Saturday, October 19 at White's Funeral Chapel in Springtown. Interment will follow in the Cottondale Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.Benny was born September 18, 1930 in Boyd to the late Wright and Beatrice Bridges. On April 21, 1951 he married the love of his life, Mollie June Evans. Benny retired from the United States Navy and returned to the Springtown area to be close to family and friends. Benny was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Bridges; son, Farley Bridges; brother, Billy Bridges; and sister, Peggy Arwine.Survivors: Son, Floyd Bridges; daughters, Neva Bridges, Tina Morrow and husband, Jay, and Nita Banks and husband, Landon; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Emilie Tackel and Pat Conn; brothers, Jimmy Dunlap, and Dale Bridges; many family members and friends.
