Emma Lee Lavender, 86, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 with her loving family by her side.Service: 10:00 A.M. Monday at Ash Creek Baptist Church, 300 S. Stewart St, Azle, 76020. Interment: New Hope Cemetery, 782 New Hope Rd. Boyd, 76023. Visitation: 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a favorite charity in Emma Lee's name.Emma Lee was born December 4, 1926 in Arlington to Rubin and Gladys Williams Dunkin. She graduated from Handley High School and married Robert Jackson Lavender on September 5, 1947. Emma Lee worked for Azle ISD for 15 years, serving as Assistant Tax Assessor Collector. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Robert J. "Bob" Lavender; son, Michael Lavender; daughter, Betsy Mulder and husband, Alan; son, Craig Lavender and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Micah Lavender, Melissa Lotspeich, Chris Mulder, Brandon Lavender and Lindsay Gray; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Stepp; brother, Don Dunkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.
