MILLSAP -- Haley Scott, 88, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, in Weatherford. Graveside service: Noon Tuesday in Soda Springs Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Haley Edward Scott was born Feb. 3, 1926, the first of two sons to the late Earl Daniel and Vera Scott. He was a licensed electrician for the City of Arlington and later worked for many years in various locations around the state for the Texas A&M Extension Service. He retired after many dedicated and faithful years of service. Haley had a colorful life. When he was very young, he worked on The Four Sixes Ranch in Guthrie, drove race cars and motorcycles, and rode in rodeos. Later in life he was a firefighter with the Mountain River Volunteer Fire Department. For his years of service as president and training officer for the fire department, the substation for the Millsap Volunteer Fire Department was just recently named for Haley and Joyce Scott. Haley was very active in the Live Oak Baptist Church. Haley was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Scott, in 2003; a son, Steve Scott, in 2006; his parents; and brother, Purvis Scott. Survivors: Son, Brad Scott and wife, Karen, of Millsap; daughters, Lezle' Ashcraft of Salesville and Serita Damico of Millsap; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; uncle, Sterling Scott and wife, Nita, of Arizona; and a host of loving friends.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
