Louise Cordero Schmidt

WEATHERFORD -- Louise Cordero Schmidt, 80, peacefully passed on Friday, March, 14, 2014, in her home in Weatherford. She was surrounded by her beloved family and friends for the final few weeks of her life. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Louise was born in New York on Nov. 19, 1933, and moved to Weatherford 44 years ago with her husband, Angelo. She has resided on their family ranch ever since. She was a fiercely independent woman and was an immensely positive influence on her large circle of family and friends. In the early days of her time on the ranch in Weatherford, she helped her children become active in many activities including 4-H. She taught scores of children how to cook and simple home economics. Later she decided to attend classes at Weatherford College and began working at an H&R Block office in Fort Worth. She prepared taxes for a loyal list of client for over 30 years until age 79. Louise will be sorely missed by all. Survivors: Children: Louise, Stephanie, Ronald, and Alan; her beloved siblings, Charles, Bernabe, Roland, and Tessie; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
