Calvin Lyon

WEATHERFORD -- Calvin Lyon, 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Monday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Aledo Brown Cemetery Visitation: 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Calvin Lyon was born August 27, 1934 to Victor Horace and Mary Ada Downe Lyon in Fort Worth. He grew up in Aledo and later met and married the love of his life, Mary Jo Lambert, September 4, 1954, and they began their life together. Calvin worked for the Texas Highway Department and retired after 36 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Aledo. Calvin was a fireman with the Aledo Volunteer Fire Department for 45 years. He was a member of the Aledo Lions Club and worked on the Aledo Zoning Board as well. Calvin was a farmer and rancher for many years and was a very hard working family man. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Loving wife of 59 years, Mary Jo Lyon; children, Tommy Lyon, Darrell Lyon and wife, Melissa and Pam Fuqua and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Matthew Fuqua and Joshua Fuqua; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
