WEATHERFORD -- Robbie Jean Benton, 70, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, in Weatherford. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Highway, Weatherford. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Robbie Jean McDougle Benton was born Oct. 17, 1943, in Fort Worth, daughter of the late Thurman Robert and Verna Jean Lewis McDougle. She graduated from Birdville High School and later married Billy Bob "Bud" Benton Jr. in 1969. Robbie loved music and fast, but nice, cars. She always drove a very nice car and took great pride in them. Robbie was a hard worker and retired from Lockheed Martin after many dedicated years of service. She was crowned Miss Haltom City and was the runner-up in the Miss Texas Pageant many years ago. Robbie lived a fast life and loved Las Vegas and Louisiana. Robbie was a longtime member of Aledo Church of Christ. Robbie was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bob "Bud" Benton Jr.; and her parents. Survivors: Sons, Robert Benton and Daren Benton, and wife, Cathy; grandson, Matthew Hutchison all of Weatherford; brothers, Thurman McDougle and wife, Sue, of Hudson Oaks and Ronnie McDougle and wife, Debbie, of Rockwall; aunts, Frances Adams of North Richland Hills and Delilah Phillips of Weatherford; uncle, Buddy Lewis of Granbury; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
