Juanita Darlene Leaf

WEATHERFORD -- Juanita Darlene Leaf, 76, died Thursday, April 10, 2014. Per her wishes there will be no service. Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church, 1602 S. Main St., Weatherford, TX 76086. She was born on November 26, 1937 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of William Verlan Peer and Mary Evelyn Quillen Peer. In June, 1954, she married Charles Leaf and they were blessed with four children, Stephen, Vivian, Rebecca and Michael. The marriage ended in April, 1974 as they began their separate life journeys. She worked as a secretary for the Olney Chamber of Commerce, Southeastern Illinois Mental Health Center and Yockey Oil, an oil producer. Golf was her passion and she was a member of the Richland Country Club in Olney. In her retirement years, she enjoyed family in Weatherford, Texas and golfing with friends at Live Oak Country Club. She cherished family and liked to fish, garden, and enjoy nature. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Stephen; daughter, Rebecca; and brother, Richard. Vivian and her husband David Orr held Nita's hands as she entered the beauty of heaven. In addition to her daughter, Vivian Orr of Weatherford, Texas, she is survived by one son, Michael Leaf of Olney, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Fehrenbacher of Olney, Illinois, Mrs. Constance Murphy of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Mrs. Sandra Kubbs of Richardson, Texas; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
