James Monroe Cacy, 68, passed away June 6, 2014.Memorial Service: 1:00 P.M. Saturday at White's Azle Chapel. Interment at Dallas-Fort Worth Cemetery will be at a later date.Memorials: Charity of choice.James was born September 22, 1945 in Dallas, Texas.James entered the United States Army in 1963. He served in the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1966 and served in the Army Reserves until 1969. James returned to San Antonio and married the love of his life, Linda Vanderburg November 14, 1966. James served in the American Legion for the past three years. He retired in 2011 from Plaza Medical Center after 25 years of service. James dearly loved his family and friends and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Martin; and brother, Billy Cacy.Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Linda Cacy; daughter, Sheila Howell and husband, Tim; son, Michael Cacy and wife, Andrea; granddaughters, Emily and Avery Howell; grandson, Landry Cacy; sisters,Lavelle Ivie, Linda Roberts and Kaye Leslie; brothers, Carroll Cacy and Steven Bickley; and other extended family members and friends.
