AZLE -- James Henry Chandler, 87, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Service: A memorial service will be held at a later date. James Henry Chandler was born September 3, 1926 to James Henry and Marie Antoinette Newton Chandler in Plainview. He lived in the Azle area for 62 years. James married the love of his life, Betty Bentley on July 12, 1947 in Fort Worth, and they enjoyed many happy years together until her passing on January 28, 1993. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II. James was a small business owner and was known as the "TV Repair Man". He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bentley Chandler; his parents, James Chandler and Marie and Robert Hardisty; and sister, Oleta Weddle. Survivors: Daughter, Linda Fergerson and husband, Ralph, of Azle; son, James Chandler, III and wife, Mary Elizabeth, of Palestine; grandchildren, David Fergerson, Cara Fergerson, Erica Michelle Chandler and James Chandler IV; seven great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
