George Andrew Boyd

MINERAL WELLS -- George "Andy" Boyd, 79, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Central United Methodist Church, 1007 SW 4th Ave, Mineral Wells, 76067. George was born December 19, 1934 in Fort Worth to William and Bessie Boyd. He enlisted in the United States Military when he was young and served in many different branches, finally retiring from the Air Force. He then worked with the Texas Highway Department and retired after 21 years of service. He was a dedicated member of Central United Methodist Church, the American Legion and the Woodmen of the World. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: wife of 20 years, Wanda Boyd; children, Greg Boyd and wife, Pam, Gary Boyd, Robert Boyd and wife, Paige, David Scott Merchant and wife, Lisa, Nikki Merchant, Lilly Kite and husband, Don, Tina Horton and husband, Don, and Ben Lofton and wife, Alecia; and many grandchildren.White's Funeral HomeMineral Wells, 940-325-3311
