WEATHERFORD -- Refugio "Cookie" Perez, beloved brother, uncle and great uncle, passed away peacefully, October 4, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Rd., Weatherford. Interment: 1 p.m. Friday in San Fernando Catholic Cemetery, San Antonio. Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday and 6 - 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Cookie was born in Benavides on September 5, 1937 to Juan Manuel, Sr. and Maria Perez. He moved to San Antonio at the age of six years and attended public schools there. In 1978, Cookie moved to Weatherford. He was employed by the Weatherford School District for 13 years.
