Janice Lennette McCoy "Netta" passed away peacefully in her home, Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the very tender age of 51. A Celebration of life in honor of Netta will be held Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Azle Deer Cove, 101 S. Pearson Lane, Azle, TX 76020. Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Netta's name to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, www.lungcancerresearchfoundation.org.Born June 17, 1963, Netta was the eldest of 3 smart, witty and beautiful sisters. She was a shining example to them on how to torment their mother with an endless parade of boyfriends and many nights spent missing curfews. Having a sizable determination, not in stature, Netta always forged ahead to become an expert at anything she decided to learn. Although her career was in aerospace, her hobbies were vast. She could change your oil, paint and encaustic picture or even design and dig a Koi pond.Netta experimented with motherhood young, found it suited her and dedicated her bountiful love to her two children. Of course anyone who has tried to dodge Netta when she had new pictures of her brilliant grandson Noah, can attest, he was the apple of her eye.Netta leaves to mourn a dignified father, Charlie Brown, a talented and loving mother, Carol Brown; two amazingly gifted and unimaginably good looking children, Shauna Canalez and husband, Eugene, and Petty Officer Second Class Shane Perry and wife, Shonna; grandson, Noah Canalez; a ridiculously beautiful and sassy sister, Dawn Coker; as well as a handsome brother, Jonathan Brown and his family; also left behind are Netta's 6 charming and stylishly handsome nephews and their wonderful familes.Netta is a fallen star who has finally found her place next to her quick-witted and imaginative sister, Jeri "BuBu" Brown in a lovely constellation where she will sparkle in the Heavens Forever.
