Herbert F. McKelvey, 90,of Azle passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 in Madisonville KY.Service: 10:00 A.M. Monday at White's Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail, Azle 76020. Interment: Proctor Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 8 P.M. Sunday at White's Azle Funeral Home.Herbert was born January 9, 1924 in Proctor to J. Dolph and Alta Watson McKelvey. He was a World War II Army Veteran, was retired from Fort Worth public Schools Maintenance, and was a member of Eagle Mountain United Methodist Church in Azle. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda Louise Doherty McKelvey; brother, C.A. McKelvey and his wife, Betty.Survivors: Daughter, B.J. Strange and husband, Sonny, Caldwell County, KY; grandchildren, Russell Friddle and wife, Paulette of Fort Worth, Jay Friddle and wife, Yessenia of Fort Worth and Mike Friddle of Clarksville, TN; great-grandchildren, Alex, Ashley, Jayden, Gage, Seth, and Brian; and sister, Inez Hall of Fort Worth.
