Travis Cockerham, 88, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014.Service: 9:30 A.M. Tuesday in White's Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail, Azle. Interment:1:30 P.M. Tuesday in Waurika Cemetery, Waurika, Okla. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at White's Azle Funeral Home.Travis was born February 6, 1926 in Fort Worth to Butler Monroe and Mary Welch Cockerham. Travis honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He married the love of his life, Valarie Sharp on January 5, 1945 in Weatherford. Travis loved his family dearly and will be deeply missed.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Valerie; and grandchild Conner.Survivors: sons, Terry Cockerham and wife, Janet and Jerry Cockerham; daughter, Sherri Coffee and husband, Larry; grandchildren, Marc, Amy, Emily, Ryan, Terry, Courtney, Zachary and Cameron; many great-grandchildren; brothers, Sterling and Bill; sister, Peggy; and a host of other family members.
