Jack L. Griffith, 84, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014.Service: 9:30 A.M. Thursday at White's Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail, Azle, 76020. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth.Jack was born in Ada, Oklahoma April 1, 1930. He honorably served his country in the United States Army retiring after 33 years of service at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Jack received his Doctorate of Animal Nutrition and Husbandry. He married Juanita Rodriguez May 10, 1988 in Fort Worth. Jack was a member of the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows for many years and the LaJunta Baptist Church. He loved teaching, he taught Chemistry at Ohio Northern University. After retirement he enjoyed spending time on his farm in Weatherford. Jack is preceded in death by his parents. He will be missed by all that knew him.Survivors: Wife, Juanita of Fort Worth; his children, Theresa Hoag and husband, David of Okla., Royce Griffith and wife, Diane of Fort Worth, Cheryl Brunner and husband, Kerry of Blue River, WI.,and Edith Jackson and husband, Joe of Fort Worth; step-children, Phillip Rodriguez and wife, Melba of Fort Worth and Diana Kaley of Fort Worth; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles and Max; and sister, Shirley.
