Armour Blanche Townsend

WEATHERFORD -- Armour Blanche Townsend, 92, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at home, with her loving family by her side. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Monday at White's Mineral Wells Chapel, 101 N. E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells. Interment: Graford Cemetery. Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials: Should friends desire, the family suggests that donations in Blanche's memory may be made to Meals On Wheels in Weatherford. Armour Blanche Eidson Townsend was born April 18, 1922 to William Bennett and Marie Eidson in San Saba. She married Grafton Townsend and they were blessed with a son, Skip. Blanche owned and operated her own beauty salon in Graford for 35 years. She was a member of the Graford Methodist Church and was very active in the Graford Community. For the past 14 years, she resided in the Brock area and was an avid Lady Eagle basketball fan. Blanche spent most of her time surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Grafton Townsend in 1992; brother, Jack Eidson; and sister, Doris Harrison. Survivors: Son, Skip Townsend and wife, Sammye; grandchildren, Halsey Clark and husband, Kyle and Lyssa Addington and husband, Colby; great-grandchildren, Daley and Deacon Clark; nieces, Diane McCarty and Annel Lopez; nephews, Tom Harrison and Jim Harrison; and many other loving family members and friends.White's Funeral HomeMineral Wells, 940-325-3311
