WEATHERFORD -- James Olan Daniel, 100, passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, in Weatherford. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Visitation: Noon to service time Wednesday. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley. James Olan Daniel was born Sept. 9, 1914, in Palo Pinto County, the second of four children to the late Walter Echol and Matilda Ann Hill Daniel. He served with distinction in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and was honorably discharged after faithful service to his country. James made his career as an electrician and retired from General Dynamics after many dedicated years. James was a member of First Baptist Church of Weatherford for many years and was a Master Mason with Phoenix Lodge #275. James was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Daniel; his parents; brothers, Garland E. Daniel and Loyd Daniel; sister, Jewel Hortense Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Survivors: Wife, Linnyjo Daniel of Fort Worth; nieces and nephews, Faye Daniel Woody and husband, Kenneth, of Weatherford, Garland Wayne Daniel of Mineral Wells, Betty Jean Gilley of Mineral Wells, Lewis Daniel and wife, Brenda, of Cleburne, Loreta Peyrot of Gainesville, David Ray Daniel and wife, Dora, of Kansas City, Mo., James Mark Daniel of Fort Worth, and Mike Daniel and wife, Lynn, of Texas; and numerous loving great-nieces and great-nephews.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
