Howard Sherwood, 80, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Service: 10:00 A.M. Thursday at The First Baptist Church of Springtown. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home.Howard was born September 1, 1934 in Fort Worth to Cecil and Martha Wilson Sherwood. He worked for Lone Star Gas until his retirement. Howard was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Springtown. He dearly loved his family and taking trips to Colorado and riding dune buggies.Howard was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy Sherwood on January 24, 2015; son, Jimmy Sherwood; grandson, Matthew Sherwood; his parents; and brother, Oscar Sherwood.Survivors: Son, Glen Sherwood; daughter, Carrie Green and husband, Charles; daughter-in-law, Susan Sherwood; grandchildren, Jeremy Watson and wife, Tammy, Levi Watson and wife, Jessica, Wesley Green and wife, Krista, Lindsey Sheets and husband, Cody, Shane Sherwood and wife, Sarah, Cody Sherwood and Bobby Joe Sherwood and wife, Kathryn; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Perry Sherwood and wife, Betty, Jack Sherwood and wife, Hazel; sisters, Cynthia Dooley and husband, Tom, Shirley Vance and husband, Glenn, Barbara Sherwood, Loyce Sherwood and Joyce Tow; numerous nieces and nephews
