WEATHERFORD -- Margaret Ann Swan, 75, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at her home. Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Margaret Ann Britton was born Jan. 13, 1939, to Eugene Debbs and Mary Alice Wade Britton in Fort Worth. She was raised in Arlington and graduated high school in 1957. Margaret married James Swan on June 21, 1957, in Arlington and they began their life together. They lived in many different cities, including Arlington, Dallas and Mesquite, before they moved to Lubbock where they lived until 1981. Margaret and James then moved to Azle, Fort Worth and Santo before they settled in Weatherford in 1998. Margaret was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Springtown. Her main interests were trying to live a Christian life, being a good wife and mother and always being kind to others. Margaret loved animals of all shapes and sizes and hurt terribly for their mistreatment as well as for abused children. She was a 4-H leader for a few years in Lubbock and loved working with kids. Margaret said, "My main accomplishment in life has been being a loving and faithful wife and mother." The family would like to send a special thank-you to Covenant Hospice, especially Tori and Ena. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Britton, and his wife, Nancy. Survivors: Husband, James Swan; daughters, Alice Darlene Gill and husband, Peyton, and Cathy Lynn Henderson and husband, Sam, both of Lubbock, Margaret Angelene Talmage and husband, Art, Sandra Jane Ingrim and husband, Ryan, and Rebekah Jerene Mobley and husband, Kinney, all of Fort Worth; uncle and aunt, Peyton E. and Billie Wade of Dallas; grandchildren, Holly Gill of Lubbock and Charlotte Lowder of Hobbs, N.M., and Mairin and Megan Mobley and Zachary and Kalli Talmage, all of Fort Worth; four great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
