MINERAL WELLS -- Verdon Mader, 87, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Friday at Whitt Cemetery in Whitt, Texas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 101 N.E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells. Verdon was born June 3, 1926 in Advance Community, Texas to Tone and Bessie Mader. When he was younger, he worked on the farm and then later went into the manufacturing business working for many companies, including Convair.
