Patricia Ann Hooks

WEATHERFORD -- Patsy Hooks, 65, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013, with her loving family at her side. Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Saturday at North Side Baptist Church, 910 North Main St., Weatherford. Interment: Private Visitation: 5 - 7 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Memorials: In lieu of usual remembrances the family suggests donations may be made in Patsy's memory to the Weatherford Animal Shelter, 403 Hickory Lane, Weatherford, TX 76086, 817-598-4111. Patricia Ann Landon was born on December 2, 1948, the only child of Rey and Merna Harrison Landon, in Fort Worth, where she grew up in the Poly area. Patsy attended West Texas A & M and graduated with a Master's Degree in Education from TCU. She met and married the love of her life, Dennis Hooks on August 7, 1981 in Cleburne. Patsy was a member of the Bush Legacy - Republican Women's; Parker County Women's and Newcomers; Taste of Parker County, Past Chair; Rotary Club; Parker County Health Foundation, Past Chair; Supporter of WISD Education Foundation; Weatherford/Parker County Animal Shelter Advisory Group. She was also a faithful member of Grace First Presbyterian Church. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors: Husband of 32 years, Dennis Hooks of Weatherford; sons, Kip Hooks and wife, Dee Dee and Kory Hooks and wife, Stephanie, all of Weatherford; five grandsons, Hunter Greenwood, Kayd Hooks, Jagger Hooks, Trip Hooks and Tag Hooks, all of Weatherford; cousin, Mary Mooney of Fort Worth; and a host of loving family and friends.
