C.A. "Lucky" Isbell, 82, loving husband, father and brother, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013. Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday in White's Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail, Azle. Interment: Veal Station Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the James L. West Alzheimer's Center, where he was cared for in his final years. Lucky was born March 2, 1931, in Paradise to Carl and Myrtle Isbell. He graduated from Springtown High School and was a member of the Church of Christ. Lucky honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War and earned a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He worked in the construction industry for Cadenhead-Rangaire and Tarrant Community College but also maintained a small cattle business. Lucky was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Wife, Sue Isbell; children, Lori Isbell and Jill Isbell and husband, Terry Henson; sister, Oleta Jennings and husband, J.B.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
