FORT WORTH -- Thomas Woody Clark, 77, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, surrounded by family at his home in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Tuesday in Veal Station Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home, 401 N. Main St., Springtown. Thomas Woody Clark was born March 13, 1936, in Decatur, to the late Thomas and Foye Hutchison Clark. He graduated with the class of 1955 from Springtown High School and joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served with distinction and valor. Thomas married the former Betty Watkins in Cottondale on July 15, 1960, and they began their life together. He made his career as a police officer with the Fort Worth and Sansom Park Police Departments and later with the City of Fort Worth. He ultimately retired from the City of Fort Worth as assistant chief electrical inspector. Thomas spent countless hours garage selling and collecting junk, which he loved. He was a member of International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Wife, Betty Clark of Fort Worth; children, Kelly D. Dean and husband, Joe, of Weatherford, Thomas Woody Clark Jr. of New Orleans, La., and Betty Tankursley and husband, David, of Springtown; grandchildren, Licia, Heather, Stephanie, Zachary, Carly, Jonathan, and Melanie; great-grandchildren, Michael, Garrett, Brodi, and Coralie; and a host of loving family and friends.White's Funeral HomeSpringtown, 817-220-7111
