SPRINGTOWN -- Joey Smith, 62, a longtime resident of Springtown, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of White's Funeral Home, 401 N. Main St., Springtown. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Joenett "Joey" Pike Smith was born Nov. 8, 1950, in Fort Worth, daughter of the late William Joseph and Garnet Pearl Anderson Pike. She made her career with the city of Fort Worth Water Department for 25 dedicated years. Joey was an avid reader and had an infectious smile. She loved to go to family sporting events and had a servant's heart but she loved her children most of all. Joey attended Saginaw Park Baptist Church. Joey was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Smith; her parents; and stepson, Mike Smith. Survivors: Son, Albert "Buddy" Hewitt and wife, Carol, of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughters, Kerrie Kelly of Saginaw and Summer Pike-Smith of Springtown; grandchildren, Corey Smith, Caylee Smith, Joseph Kelly and Kaitlyn Kelly; great-grandchildren, Braydon Smith, Trace Martin, Tamara Martin, Tate Smith, Jaxson Fortner, Jaiden Fortner and Isaac Cook; sister, Mona Abshire and husband, James, of Newark; nieces, Jonna Curtis and Melissa Machado and husband, Michael; great-nephews, Anthony Machado and Nevin Machado; great-nieces, Shelby Miller, Sesely Curtis and Savanna Curtis; daughter-in-law, Becky Smith; mother-in-law, Opal Smith; sister-in-law, Marquita Barron and husband, Steve; adopted family, Rhonda Threatt and Jordan Hicks; and a host of loving friends and extended family.White's Funeral HomeSpringtown, 817-220-7111
