WEATHERFORD -- Robert C. Gumpert Sr., 83, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013, surrounded by family at his home in Weatherford. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Victory Baptist Church, 1311 East Bankhead Hwy., Weatherford. Entombment: Holly Hills Mausoleum, Granbury. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Memorials: In lieu of usual remembrances, the Gumpert family suggests contributions in Bob's memory to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive,Tampa, Fla. 33607. Robert C. Gumpert Sr. was born March 28, 1929, in Dallas, son of the late John George and Janie Oden Gumpert. He served with distinction in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division and was honorably discharged in 1950. He married the former Anita Bevers on March 28, 1975, in Hurst, and they began their life together. Robert was a member of Victory Baptist Church and a Mason. Robert was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Sue Gumpert; his parents; and brothers, Johnny, Charles, J.P., Rae, David, and Kenneth Gumpert. Survivors: Wife of 37 years, Anita Gumpert of Weatherford; children, Robert Gumpert Jr., John Gumpert, James Gumpert, Debra Gumpert, Pamela Stoddard, and Tammie Allen; 30 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gorman Gumpert; and a host of loving family and friends.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
