Hazel Ione Widell

Hazel Ione Newbury Widell, 80, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on November 3, 2012. Memorial service: 3:30 P.M. Sunday, November 18 at First United Methodist Church in Azle. In lieu of flowers, rememberances may be sent to the First United Methodist Church Restoration Fund. Hazel was born on March 31, 1932 to Ralph and Hazel Newbury. On April 21, 1956 she married Donald Widell. Hazel and Don spent their married life in Centralia, Wash. where they worked and raised their daughters. After her move to Azle in 2010, she enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their various activities and attending the First United Methodist Church of Azle. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Donald Widell. Survivors: daughters, and sons-in-laws, Debra Weiss and husband, William of Lake Oswego, OR., Dona Granger and husband, Larry of Anthem, AZ., Diana McDowell and husband, Allen of Azle; grandchildren, Richard, Trevor, Jeff, Grant, Kylan, Brady and Anastasia.
