Herbert Lee Ramsey

MINERAL WELLS -- Herbert Ramsey, 86, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, in Weatherford. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday in Perrin Memorial Garden. Herbert Lee Ramsey was born May 24, 1926, in Perrin, son of the late Hubert and Lillie Mae Heath Ramsey. He made his career in the trucking industry and retired after many dedicated years of service. Herbert loved to garden and fish but more than anything he loved to bless people. Herbert accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord of his life when he was eight but was not baptized until he was 70. His son, Rick, assisted in Herbert's baptism, a very proud moment for the entire Ramsey family. Herbert loved serving the Lord. Herbert was married to Ruby for 62 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells for many years. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Wife, Ruby Ramsey of Mineral Wells; children, Rick Ramsey and Gena Ramsey all of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Matthew Ramsey and wife, Krista, and Adam Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Chandler and James; and a host of loving friends and church family.
