Larry Drew Tapp, 72, a loving husband, father, papa, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at LaJunta Baptist Church. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry's name to the American Heart Association, 2630 W. Freeway, Suite 250, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Larry was born Jan. 12, 1940, in Fort Worth to Leonard and Ruby Tapp. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, cooking and being with his family. Larry attended the LaJunta Baptist Church. He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Raymond and Don Tapp. Survivors: Wife of 37 years, Penny Tapp of Azle; son, Derreck Tapp of Mechanicsville, Va.; daughters, Pamela (sister) Lane and husband, Robert, Tina Nelson, both of Mechanicsville, Va., and Kimberely Waller and husband, Tod, of Orangevale, Calif.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy and Ray Tapp; sister, Erma Erwin; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of loving friends.
