Darin Howard Hamilton

MINERAL WELLS -- Darin Howard Hamilton, 50, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, surrounded by family in Fort Worth. Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of White's Funeral Home, 101 NE 4th Ave., Mineral Wells. Interment: Salesville Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Darin Howard Hamilton was born Aug. 19, 1962, in Wichita, Kan., son of the late Lauren McNeil and Barbara Lee Goul Hamilton. He was very proud of his service to his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after several years when he began his career with Hanson Brick. Darin retired after more than 20 years of dedicated service. He married the former Sheila Moore in 1986 and they began their life together. Darin's life was his grandson, Parker, and he loved very dearly spending time with him. Darin attended Salesville Baptist Church for many years. Darin was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Brian Paul Hamilton. Survivors: Wife of 26 years, Sheila Hamilton; daughter, Niki Long and husband, Josh; grandson, Parker Long, all of Salesville; brother, Lauren Hamilton and wife, Tammy, of Wichita, Kan.; sisters, Lisa Doffing of Wichita, Kan. and Michelle Dillard and husband, Chad, of Mineral Wells; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend, Ricky Kimbrell and wife, Sandra, of Mineral Wells; and a host of loving family and friends.
