WEATHERFORD -- Ann Connaway, 74, longtime resident of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, surrounded by family at her home in Weatherford. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Thursday in Oakland Cemetery, North Mill Street and Estel Street, Weatherford. Joe Harris will officiate. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Anna Carol Connaway was born Aug. 14, 1938, in Wichita, Kan., daughter of the late Warren William and Mildred Elsie Bennett. Among the achievements Ann was proud of was her association with the Weatherford YMCA as co-founder and the Tops N Texas Award presented by Shirley Temple Black in 1971. Ann married Harmon Lee Connaway on Aug. 1, 1960. She was band manager of the Sensations. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Rachel Orsak. Survivors: Husband, Harmon Lee Connaway; sons, John Kent Connaway and James Kelly Davis; grandchildren, Jakob Kale Connaway and Kristan Lucas; great-grandchildren, Cash and Hudson Lucas; nieces, Linda Ann Brown of Weatherford, Karen Orsak, Nancy Orsak and Patricia Calderaz of Tenn.; nephews, Corky Connaway of Santo, Kevin Jordan of Weatherford, and Doug Orsak; and a host of loving friends.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
