WEATHERFORD -- Sally Silvey, 87, a longtime resident of Weatherford, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, surrounded by family in Weatherford. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Friday in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Seattle Lee Silvey was born Sept. 18, 1925, in Oswego, Kan., daughter of the late Bennie and Gladys Burkhart Knight. She married James Silvey in Andrews on Jan. 13, 1964, and they began their life together. Sally made her career as a caregiver and retired after more than 20 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of Calvary United Methodist Church for many years. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, James Silvey, and her parents. Survivors: Daughter, Marilyn Vandever of Mesa, Ariz.; son, Ed Davenport of Sun Rise Beach, Mo.; grandchildren, Tiffany Kalwei of Lee Summit, Mo., Bryan Davenport of Lee Summit, Mo., Shantea Henrichs of Olathe, Kan., and Suzanne Swartzbaugh of Omaha, Neb.; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of loving friends and church family.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
