John Nelson Stevens

WEATHERFORD -- Jack Stevens, 48, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, in Weatherford. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday in Central Cemetery, behind Central Baptist Church, 4290 Old Agnes Rd., Weatherford. John Nelson Stevens Jr. was born Dec. 26, 1963, in San Angelo, son of John Nelson and Brenda Sue Jones Stevens. He graduated with the class of 1982 from Garland Christian Academy and worked as a draftsman. He married the former Kelli Ann Rogers on Sept. 3, 2005, and lived in Fort Worth before moving to Weatherford. Jack loved to hunt but especially enjoyed working on the farm. Jack was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pinkie and Estelle Jones and Roland and Evelyn Stevens. Survivors: Wife, Kelli Stevens; children, Jessica Stevens and John Nelson Stevens III; step-children, Kayla Beeler and Sarah Beeler; granddaughter, Madalyn Stevens; parents, Jack and Brenda Stevens; brother, Alan Stevens; aunt, Jean Sexton; nephew, Brian Stevens; cousins, Jay Sexton, Mike Sexton and wife, Amy, Joan Click and husband, John, Amber Ewell, and Tommy, Cody and Dalton Sexton; and a host of loving friends.
