Doris Helen Lindsay Wood

PALESTINE -- Doris Helen Wood, of Weatherford, died Sunday, August 5, 2012, in Palestine. She had a brief fight with pneumonia. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Annetta Cemetery. Visitation: 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Doris was born in Weatherford, on Nov. 21, 1933, to Forrest and Hazel Lindsay. She graduated from Weatherford High School and attended Weatherford College for two years. She was a loving wife and mother and was married to J.C. Wood until his death in 2001. She had several wonderful friends from childhood and remained close friends until her death.
