WEATHERFORD -- Mildred Plumlee Harris Leach, 96, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at a local care center. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Monday at White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mildred was born December 13, 1915 to Jack Jefferson and Darah V. Sandlin Plumlee in Springtown. She was a waitress for 60 years and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Mildred was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Weatherford College Exes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Earl Harris in 1979 and S. C. Leach in 2002; brothers, J. D. Plumlee and Louis Plumlee; and sister, Nina Plumlee Rhoten. Survivors: Nieces, Carolyn Rhoten Tate, Sandra Rhoten Santos, Brenda Plumlee Reed, Mary Nell Harris McConathy, Peggy Harris Bradley, Betty Harris Ruminer and Mary Bob Berkley; nephews, Bill F. Harris and Derrel Berkley; step-sons, Gary Leach and wife, Martha and Jim Leach and wife, Shirley; step-daughters, Shirlene Knight and husband, Bill; seven step-grandchildren; and many mores nieces and nephews and church family and friends.
