Martha Turner

Martha Turner, 67, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at home with her loving family by her side. For details on her memorial service please go to facebook and search Martha Payne Turner. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Martha's name to the American Cancer Society, 3301 W. Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76107. Martha was born June 2, 1945 in Fort Worth to Perry and Bernice Blackwell Payne. She graduated from Azle High School in 1963, attended Weatherford College, Tarrant County College and Texas Tech University. Martha was an avid quilter, involved in the Boy Scouts, and loved to do crafts. She was a member of the Azle Church of Christ. Martha dearly loved being with her family and her grandchildren meant everything to her. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors: husband, Jimmy Turner; daughter, Tracy Laxson and husband, Daniel of Fort Worth; son, Bill Turner and wife, Melissa of Azle; grandchildren, Gillian, Turner, Layla and Layne; brother, Jim Payne and wife, Mary Ann of Victoria; numerous nieces and nephews.
