Nancy Jean Self Cash

December 17, 1945 — June 25, 2012

After suffering three years with health problems, on Monday, June 25, 2012 surrounded by many friends and family members, beloved wife and mother, Nancy Jean Self Cash of Springtown went to see her Heavenly Father. Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home., 401 North Main Street., Springtown. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Nancy was born December 17, 1945 in Yacama Valley on an Indian Reservation in Brewster, Washington. After being raised by her mother, Eva Shoemake in Lindsey, Okla. she moved to Fort Worth. There she met and married the great love of her life, Eddie Gene Cash on December 21, 1976. Together they shared 36 years of marriage, and she devoted her life to her home and family. Working as the assistant dietician at the Springtown Administration Building for several years allowed her to take an active role in the lives of her children. Accompanied by her husband, they drove and sat through rain, sleet, and snow to be able to cheer on their children and local school. Most weekends were spent as a family, camping, riding motorcycles, skiing on the lake, or visiting with grandparents. Later she spent her leisure time working in her yard, planting flowers and fruit trees or just sitting on her porch in the sun. Her greatest thrill was shopping with her friends, garage selling and auctioning with her husband by her side. Nancy was a member of Hill Top Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her Savior, Jesus Christ; her mother, Eva Shoemake; father, Garland Self; and daughter, Treva Phillips, as well as many other dear family members and friends. Space and time will never keep her far from the lives and hearts of those she left behind; husband, Eddie Gene Cash of Springtown and her children, Dannie Phillips, Chris & Teffany White, David Cash, Paul & Nina Cash, and Mark & Jeannie Hilbers as well as 13 grandchildren: Taylor Phillips, Coleman White, Ryan White, Eric White, Ashley White, Benjamin White, Christian White, Baylor White, Knox Cash, Cade Cash, Ivy Cash, Eliot Hilbers and Carter Hilbers as well as many other family members and dear friends.
