Pleasant "Thomas" O'Rear died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at a Fort Worth hospital.Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Ash Creek Baptist Church. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home.Thomas was born Jan. 13, 1932, in DeKalb, to Emmitt and Sylvia Son O'Rear. He had lived in Azle and was a member of Ash Creek Baptist Church for 54 years. He was a brick mason, and co-owner of O&S Construction Company in Fort Worth.He married Ruby Wyvonne "Wyvie" Wood, July 3, 1952, in Texarkana. Thomas honorably served in the United States Army in Korea for two years early in their marriage.Thomas was a member of the Azle Masonic Lodge, as well as a charter member of the Aztec Saddle Club in Azle.Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; and great-granddaughter, Logyn Brooke Jeter.Survivors: His wife of almost 60 years, Wyvie Wood O'Rear; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Cheryl O'Rear of Azle; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Bo Jeter of Azle; daughter, Pam Ashford of DeWitt, Ark.; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and John Coontz of Azle; grandchildren, J'son Jeter and wife, Brooke, Jill Lane and husband, Scott, Jacob Jeter and wife, Amy, Chance Walker, Janna Espinoza and husband, Joey, Derek O'Rear and wife, Brianne, Cody Mahan and Hayden Mahan; and great-granddaughters, Reese Jeter, Makenna Lane, Landrie Lane, Paisley Jeter, Adisyn Walker, Holyn Espinoza and Aubree O'Rear.
