Carmella Deane Thompson

Carmella "Deane" Thompson, 86, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at a local hospital.

Funeral Service: 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at First United Methodist Church of Azle, 200 Church Street, Azle

Interment: Azleland Memorial Park

Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle.

Deane was born December 13, 1925 to Carmon Russell and Mary Martha Bordner Price in Bridgeport. She lived in the Azle area for 47 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Azle. Deane shared her talents and love of children as an art teacher at Azle High School for many years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Delbert Paul Thompson in 1985 and her precious daughter, Paula Deane Doyle in 1999.

Survivors: Children, Stephen Thompson and wife, Jennifer, of Azle, Deborah Carol Zorns and husband, Harold Mike, of Boyd, Sandra Dee Shanor of Azle and Pamela Horn and husband, Steve, of Plano; fourteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren; and many loving friends and church family.
