Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, Farm to Market Road 1189 and Evergreen Cemetery Road, Lipan. Ruby Fiern Self Morris was born July 30, 1924, in Lipan, the fourth of five children to the late Riley B. and Katie Blair Self. Morris in Ardmore, Okla. on Dec. 27, 1949, and they began their life together. They raised their children in Corpus Christi where they lived for 25 years prior to moving to Mineral Wells. She lived there for ten years and then moved to Collin County to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Ruby loved spending time with her family and was always ready for a daily adventure. Her generosity, quick wit and spunkiness made her a favorite to family and friends of all ages. Ruby loved dachshunds, roses, coffee, Red Lobster and later in life, pursued and obtained rather impressive shoe and costume jewelry collections. Her soft laugh, gentle hands and kind heart will be missed by those lucky enough to have known her.
