AZLE -- Robert Earl "Bob" Edwards, 86, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, surrounded by his family at a local hospital. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Briar, 200 W N Woody Road, Azle. Interment: Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle. Bob was born Feb. 6, 1926, the youngest of eight children, to the late Henry and Lou High Edwards in Berryville, Ark. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II and later owned and operated Bob's Auto Repair for 25 years. When he wasn't working, Bob loved to work with wood and camp and garden. He dearly loved his family and church family at First Baptist Church of Briar, where he was a member for 52 years and served as deacon for many years. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Idella, on Oct. 18, 2010; his parents; and seven siblings. Survivors: Sons, Robert Edwards and wife, Betty, Billy Edwards and fiancee, Denise, all of Azle, Tony Edwards and wife, Connie, of Reno; daughters, Acqua Edwards of Azle and Kaye Kimball and husband, Randy, of Keller; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
