Flossie Jayne Miller, 80, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012.Memorial Service: 2:30 P.M. Friday, February 24 at White's Azle Chapel. Inurnment services will be held at a later date in Wichita Falls at Crestview Cemetery. Flossie Jayne Norriss Miller of Azle, TX was born June 21, 1931 on the family farm in Montague County to TW Norriss Sr and Gertrude Davis. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1948 and from Midwestern State University in 1952 with a BA in Business Administration where she was a cheerleader. She worked in the oil and gas industry in Wichita Falls and was President of the Desk and Derrick club. She met a handsome pilot named Hardin Miller and they married in 1961. She spent the next years raising her family, including serving as girl scout leader and horse show secretary. She returned to the business world in 1980 and completed 20 years of service as a sales coordinator with Leggett and Platt last October. She worked full time until succumbing to cancer on February 20, 2012 at home with her family. She loved feeding the wild deer in her yard and being outdoors riding her John Deere tractor. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Hardin Miller of Azle, brother, Tom Norriss and wife, Marie of Bowie, Texas, daughters, Jayne and Donna Miller, grandsons, Josh and Chris Miller of Arizona, grandaughters, Anne and Claire Stieg, 2 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way, numerous friends and extended family. The family requests donations to the Community Hospice of Texas in lieu of flowers.
