SPRINGTOWN -- Jeanne Smith, 68, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home, 401 North Main St., Springtown. Barbara Jean "Jeanne" Hinkle Smith was born June 25, 1943, in Parker County, daughter of the late George Weldon Hinkle and Margaret Emma Britain Mullins. She loved to cook and was a caregiver to all. Jeanne was a jolly mother figure to everyone in her life. She was a life long resident of Springtown and attended Springtown High School. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joe Dick Smith on Jan. 15, 2012; and her parents. Survivors: Son, Brad Smith; grandson, Brandon Lee Smith, both of Springtown; sister, Bettie Jennings and husband, Kirk, of Springtown; nieces, Marsha Grounds and husband, Sean, of Azle and Kayla Garrett and husband, Casey, of Springtown; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
