Meree, 16, married Herbert, 19, in 1935, in Lipan. She is best remembered for her big heart, hospitality, cooking, and sewing skills. She taught Bible classes for little children many years at Perrin and North Oak Churches of Christ. She showed love by taking care of little children, the needy, the elderly and the sick. God's true servant, she left a legacy of love, caring, and generosity. She will be greatly missed. Meree was preceded in death by her husband of almost 72 years, Herbert Quick Ator; a son, Michael Ator; and her brother, Ben Burrows.
