Gary Lawrence Barnes

Gary Barnes, 55, passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, in Fort Worth. 

Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. 

Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. 

Visitation: Noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

 Memorials: In lieu of usual remembrances, the Barnes family suggests contributions in Gary's memory to First Congregational Church, 4201 Trail Lake Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76109-3541.

Gary Lawrence Barnes was born May 7, 1956, in Fort Worth, son of Bob and Lorene Barnes. Gary made his career as an antique auto parts dealer. His passion was rebuilding Ford Model "T"s. He was a walking encyclopedia of car parts. Gary honorably and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy as a submariner and was discharged after six dedicated years. 

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Bob Barnes. 

Survivors: Mother, Lorene Barnes; sister, Cindy Flint and husband, David; nephews, Richard and Alex Flint; numerous aunts and cousins; and a host of loving family and friends.
