Thomas Meissner

Thomas "Turkey" Meissner, 55 passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in an Azle hospital. No service is scheduled per Thomas' request. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the National Brain Tumor Society or Cancer Cares. Thomas attended Brewer High School in White Settlement, and Tarrant County College. He was married to Dollie (Dee) Daugherty in 1982. Thomas worked for Brittain and Crawford as a land surveyor for 13 years. He retired from American Airlines in 2011 after 22 years as a fleet service clerk. He was a volunteer for the Springtown School District from 1993 through 2004 where he was know as "Mr. Turkey." Survivors: wife, Dollie Meissner; daughter, Stephanie Parnell and husband, Lee of Springtown; granddaughter, Kyra Parnell of Springtown; parents-in-law, John and Lovera Neely of Fort Worth; niece, Hayley Cole of Fort Worth; and numerous other relatives.
