Clifford Lewis Bundy passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, in Weatherford. He was 77. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Grace First Presbyterian Church, 606 Mockingbird Lane, Weatherford. It is a celebration and per his request, attire is to be bright or tropical. Family and Friends are invited to stop by the family home following the service. Memorials: Gifts honoring Cliff's life may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the Navajo Indian School for children or any charity of choice. Cliff was born Nov. 22, 1934, in Casper, Wyo., to the late Charles and Mildred Bundy. His family ranch in Wyoming is where he was raised along with his four brothers and sisters. He attended the University of Denver, graduating in 1956 with a degree in engineering. Following graduation, he began his career as a chemical engineer for oil refineries, specifically in pipe design. He met his future wife Elizabeth Bird, a kindergarten teacher, at their church singles group in Redondo Beach, Calif. They married July 20, 1963, and together the couple raised one daughter. The next years were filled with work and neighborhood activities including positions of usher and deacon at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church of Newport Beach, Calif., father and daughter Indian Princesses at the YMCA, along with yearly vacations to Kauai and Maui with his wife and daughter. He and his wife purchased an interest in a London timeshare with Elizabeth's sister in 1991 and began making annual trips to the United Kingdom over the next 20 years. Clifford will be remembered as a father, husband and friend. A quiet intelligent man who loved the arts, he was a model of strength and devotion. Survivors: He leaves behind his daughter, Lynelle; wife, Elizabeth; brother, Charles Bundy Jr.; sister, Donna Fisher; and numerous nieces, nephews and family.
