Jimmie Bratcher, 81, went home to be with the Lord December 27, 2011.Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Friday, December 30 at North Side Baptist Church, 910 N.Main, Weatherford.Interment: Annetta Cemetery on FM 5 in Annetta.Visitation: The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m., Thursday, December 29 at White's Funeral Home.Jimmie was born November 28, 1930 and grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He had been a resident of Parker County for the past 18 years. Jimmie served in the United States Navy and was a member of President Truman's National Honor Guard. Married to his life-long love, Joyce, for 58 years, Jimmie most enjoyed taking care of his wife and family. He was a member of Western Wheelers Camping Club since 1985 and loved taking trips in his RV and traveling with friends. Jimmie was a devoted member of North Side Baptist Church where he enjoyed volunteering his time. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, John Bratcher and Vera Bratcher Getz. Jimmie was a loving and godly husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.Survivors: wife, Joyce; daughters, Gail Bayne and husband, John, of Morgantown, PA, Lisa Payne and husband, David of Hudson Oaks; five grandchildren, which he loved dearly, Maegan, Lindsay, Kelsey, Brennan and Braden. He will forever be in our hearts.
