Alvarado -- Allen Goodreau Jr., 29, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, in Perrin. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of White's Funeral Home, 101 N.E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells. Interment: Poe Prairie Cemetery, Millsap. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of usual remembrances. the Goodreau family suggests contributions in Allen's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-9950. Also, a scholarship fund has been established to assist in Hunter's education at First Financial Bank, 101 North Main St., Weatherford, Texas 76086 Allen Emery Goodreau Jr. was born Nov. 1, 1982, in Fort Worth, son of Allen and Jackie Morris Goodreau. Allen's life revolved around his son, Hunter, and he loved to play video games with him. He liked to watch movies and really enjoyed being around others. Allen graduated with the class of 2001 from Poolville High School and attended the Cowboy Church. Allen was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ann Marie Goodreau; and his grandfather, Les Downey. Survivors: Wife, Katy Goodreau; son, Hunter Riley Goodreau both of Alvarado; parents, Allen and Jackie Goodreau of Perrin; sister, Krissy Burke and husband, Travis, of Denton; grandfather, Emery Goodreau of Rhome; grandmother, Loweta Downey of Summersville, Mo.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins from Texas to Missouri; and a host of loving family and friends.
